The Truth About ARBONNE

 In Healthy Living

Over the past few years I’ve been approached several times by various Arbonne suppliers and affiliates, wanting to promote “safe and natural” products.

Arbonne is a multi-level marketing company similar to Avon or Tupperware, whereby independent reps (or consultants) promote the products and earn a commission based on what they sell, in addition to any sales rendered by reps they sign up.

I have nothing against Arbonne representatives or the way the company is structured.

In fact I think it’s great to sell products you believe in, and I genuinely feel that each representative is convinced they are selling a good product.

But are they?

Arbonne’s mission and slogan is:

A quick search on the Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep Database shows that Arbonne products range anywhere from 1 (low hazard) to 7 (high hazard) on their toxicity rating scale. These ratings are verified using scientific studies and data.

Their SPF 30 Brightening Cream with a rating of 7 is a prime example.

In addition to containing ingredients which can be reliably termed as hazardous, there are also a myriad of substances which have limited or no data with reference to their safety. These show up with the label “no data” in the Skin Deep database.

There are so many options nowadays from which we can choose for optimal health. There is no need to make compromises and pay a premium price for less-than-premium products.

Skin Deep is an excellent source for finding safe cosmetics and skin care options.
If you are an Arbonne representative, take note that there are certain Arbonne products which are mostly natural and safe. They are definitely better than many of the options found in your local pharmacy.

The question is: do you want to spend the time and energy figuring out which products you feel comfortable promoting as “pure safe and beneficial” to your customers?? My advice would be to start asking questions of the company and see if they will improve their products.
