When You Think You CAN’T ….
I received an excellent reminder today….
As Henry Ford famously said –
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.”
Maybe it’s 15 pounds you want to lose, or a gut healing protocol you want to follow, or some one-on-one time with a specialized coach you want to pursue – the way we think about what we want will dramatically affect our actions and results.
For example:
“I can’t do that”
“I don’t have time for that”
“I can’t afford that”
all communicate a state of lack. You will feel this lack, and in doing so turn off all the creative opportunities or possibilities that you could have otherwise come up with.
Give this a try:
The next time you REALLY want something, but you feel like “I can’t“, ask yourself instead:
“How can I….?”
This simple statement opens the doors to you subconscious and allows for ideas and possibilities to emerge. It’s the first step to allowing, versus the alternative: shutting down.
It’s truly the first step to getting what you want.
The thinking that is keeping you stuck today is not the thinking that will get you to the next level.
You’re smart, creative, and resourceful. And your mind is much more powerful than you think.
Use these attributes to your advantage!
